Description
What could be more idyllic than having your own Shepherd’s Hut? Perhaps only one that is set in the grounds of a Grade II Georgian country house – with stunning views across seven acres of gardens and open pastures, and with use of a swimming pool.
The Shepherd’s Hut at Buck’s Green was built two years ago, to a high standard, and by local craftsman. As such it has all the retro charm of old with the benefits of the modern day.
There is a well-equipped kitchen area complete with gas hob, and a bathroom with shower, toilet, basin and a supply of eco-friendly toiletries. The ingeniously designed dining area converts at night to a cosy double bed, with the help of a comfy mattress topper, duvet and pillows. The electric wood burner means you are sure to be warm and cosy. The oak finishes, and charming floral prints on the cushions and curtains give the Hut a timeless retro feel.
Outside there is a lovely picnic table, steamer chairs, and a barbecue for alfresco dining on warmer days – all with a view across open fields. The resident goats, alpacas and miniature Shetland ponies may all pop up the fence to welcome you to this beautiful corner of Sussex.

Reviews
Thank you very much for a lovely stay in the Shepherd’s Hut. It was really magical staying there and my son is completely besotted – he said “he’d woken up in heaven”. He absolutely loved all the animals. We hope to be back someday soon.
