From £80 per night (3 night minimum stay)

Description

The Barn is an incredibly stylish, yet still cosy, country property that provides the perfect getaway for a couple or small family – with a whole host of extra benefits that come from being in the grounds of a Grade II listed Georgian house; not least of them seven acres of beautiful garden and open pastures, and a swimming pool right on the doorstep.

Inside the Barn is bijou but incredibly well-appointed, and the calm grey and neutral palette of the interior makes this the most restful of spaces. There are chunky, original oak beams throughout that nod to the Barn’s past.

The king-size bed nestles under the beamed pitched roof, replete with luxurious White Company bedding. The modern shaker kitchen is provided with all mod cons – including a Nespresso machine for your morning coffee, while the antique-style wooden shutters allow the sitting area to be bathed in soft country light.

The Barn shares the adjacent pool with the owner, and the Shepherd’s Hut (which is also available, if you’re looking for a group getaway), but is available to use on request. Or you could just relax in the beautiful outdoor seating area, and enjoy the stunning views of the gardens and grounds.

Reviews

The barn is a beautiful, comfortable, calm space where you can truly relax in the heart of the countryside. Perfectly clean and well equipped, a bed that felt like sleeping in a cloud and lovely garden made for a dreamy weekend away. The owner was a wonderful host and had left us a bottle of wine and some tasty snacks in the kitchen, as well as some extras like a loaf of bread, milk, cereal etc. She gave us lots of tips on the local area and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful place to stay! Having the pool available to us was a real plusl. If you’re thinking about booking you definitely should! We will be back, I’m sure of it!

Wonderful accommodation with easy access to the A281 Guildford, Horsham and LGW. The renovated small barn has been expertly designed and fitted with the latest appliances and all you would need for a very comfortable stay – lots of hot water. We stayed in autumn so did not experience the pool which is available. The super double bed provides outstanding comfort! There were breakfast groceries provided with frequent top-ups if required. Linens and towels are crisp-clean and super white! The accommodation was spotlessly clean. The animals were a great hit with the grand-children especially the goats.

This is an excellent place to stay. A beautifully renovated barn, done to high quality, with the bonus of use of the swimming pool which we appreciated after a hot drive down from London. The host and family were very welcoming – as well as breakfast items we found strawberries and wine in the fridge, and home baked cookies. A perfect location for exploring Sussex countryside and coast. Highly recommended.
