Charity
It is really important to us as, at Cabins and Castles, to use part of our profits to support causes that we are passionate about, whether they are local, national, or international.
We are very fortunate to have our base in Sussex, in the beautiful natural environment of the South Downs – surrounded by glorious open countryside and woodlands. We have chosen to regularly support the National Trust’s ‘Plant A Tree’ campaign, which is aiming to plant 20 million trees by 2030. There are abundant National Trust gardens, areas of parkland and commons around our local area, and we hope that through this scheme more visitors will be able to enjoy them – as well as benefiting from the vital work that trees do in helping to combat climate change.
Our goal is to donate 1000 square metres of woodland by the end of February 2023 – and not to stop there!
We also support smaller, local charities here in Sussex by donating prizes and stays to good causes and raffles. And when disaster strikes around the world – donate to charities doing worthwhile work wherever it is needed, too. Recently we have made donations to Save the Children to support their work in Ukraine, to Unicef in the aftermath of the floods in Pakistan, and to the charity Freedom from Torture.
