Description
Maltravers Cottage offers all the charm of a country cottage, yet with all the delights of the town of Arundel right on the doorstep. Set on Maltravers Street, one of the prettiest in Arundel, Maltravers Cottage stands out thanks to its sky blue front door and wonderful wisteria. Inside there is an abundance of old-world charm – original wooden beams throughout, wooden floors and a stunning working fireplace in the kitchen. But it is the modern touches and styling that take this home out of the ordinary.
The canary yellow kitchen would bring a smile to your face on the dreariest of days, and reclaimed pine period furniture sits alongside primary-coloured anglepoise lamps and piles of bright cushions and throws. Throw open the French doors, and take supper or a glass of wine outside into the south-facing cottage garden. You may feel like you are in the deepest countryside, thanks to pots of cottage garden plants and beautiful stone and brick terracing – yet the garden leads directly to a ‘twitten’ that ends in the heart of the town centre, with Arundel’s Castle, shops, cafés and bars all ready to be explored. The coast and South Downs are also within easy reach.
